Texas NAHRO Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

The Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) proudly sponsors the Texas NAHRO Scholarship Program serving as a vehicle of hope to individuals who have a desire to further their education, but lack the adequate financial means to accomplish this goal. We hope to reach students who may not otherwise realize their college aspirations. The scholarship recipients, in turn, serve as role models to their family, neighborhood and community.

Since 2003, HACA has funded over 135,000 to the TX NAHRO Scholarship Program to deserving high school seniors towards receiving a college degree. HACA’s hope is to continue encouraging individual achievement and self-sufficiency and to expand the funding to reach more students.

The scholarship funds are made possible by the continued success of HACA and Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation.

Welcome to the Web site of the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Established in 1976, Texas NAHRO is a long-standing advocate of affordable housing. Our membership is made up of Housing Authorities that are committed to the development of the community and the welfare of human-kind.
